This paper develops the theoretical and clinical differences between the aggression and violence concepts. In harmony with Winnicott's developments, the author considers that the aggression submits to the vitality, in order to be installed as one of the psychic construction's main points. This kind of thought holds a substantial differentiation with the concept of violence. This is a distortion-cause, that alienates the constitutive psychic process. It is a particular way where "the different", "the alien" has a special effect on the psyche. The structuration of the normal psyche and the subsequent secondary violence are the results of Piera Aulagnier's primary violence concept. It is considered as a necessary violence in order to drive the psychic constitution.

The author selected the theme of addictions and its therapeutic approach to exemplify these subjects.
