Hi, my name is Janek Dubowski and I teach on the Arts Therapies programme at the University of Hertfordshire UK. I also run an organization called 'The Creative Dimension' with a focus on the use of the arts therapies with people who have learning disabilities (mental retardation) and/or autism. My particular interest is in symbolic functioning from both a psychoanalytical and cognitive base.
Winnicott plays a special place in our teaching because he places such importance on the relationship between play, the self and symbolic functioning. I am particularly interested in the psychopathology of symbolic functioning as found in conditions such as Autism and Schizophrenia.
I would be interested to learn whether your network has members who share my focus. I look forward to hearing from you and congratulations on setting up such a vital web-site.

Best wishes JANEK

Dear Dr. Jallinsky!
I am a Full Member of Finnish Psychoanalytic Association ( Europa) and work as psychoanalyst with adult and adolescent patients. I am also intrested in Winnicottian way of thinking in my clinical practic. During couple of months I have worked trough a paper ( "workname") Adolescent culture as a transitional space. I found from net pages your adress and found an intresting article from your pages concerning my topic. It was article by Sara Brundo, Rosa Cosentino et al and the title of article was "Adolescence, new tribalization and Rock.
Now I am kindly asking if it would be possiple to get that article by post or by net. I tried to register to your home pages but didn't manage, I don't no why...
So I would be very grateful indeed to read that intresting article, comment it and discuss about it if it is possible.
Sincerly
